About Plum Melo
Plum Melo is an independent buying-guide site about sous vide cooking at home. We focus on the cookers that clip to a pot and the tubs, lids and racks that go with them.
We write for home cooks who want steak, chicken and eggs to come out the same way every time. Our goal is to help you pick a cooker you'll actually reach for, then use it with confidence.
What we cover
Our guides cover sous vide cookers from brands like Anova, Inkbird, Breville, Greater Goods, KitchenBoss and Monoprice. We sort them by power, controls, size and what comes in the box.
We also cover the parts people ask about most. That means container sizes, keeping bags under water, cooking times and temperatures, searing and what to do when a cooker won't heat.
How we work
We read the specs, the manuals and the maker's own information for every cooker we cover. We also look at what owners often report after months of use.
Then we turn that into plain guides, side-by-side comparisons and clear picks. Our How we research page explains each step.
What we are not
We don't make or sell sous vide cookers, and no brand pays us to rank its products. Plum Melo isn't affiliated with Anova, Inkbird, Breville or any other maker.
We don't claim to have cooked with every model we cover. When we pick something, we say why, based on its specs, its features and owner feedback.
For food safety, we point you to USDA and FDA guidance rather than our own rules. We don't give health or medical advice.
How the site is paid for
Some links here go to stores like Amazon. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
That never decides which cookers we pick. Our affiliate disclosure has the details.
